It continues…part 1?

Well, I’ve been a little busy and still trying to figure out how to get my blog to show on my website, but think I’ll continue to write anyway…

So, there was a craft bazaar I was trying to get ready for that happened last Saturday. It kept me pretty busy crafting (see pics of new creations), and I didn’t get much chance to drive…However, I took a little holiday at Seaside with some friends and we were provided with some very entertaining events…Camp 18 (for lunch) had this crazy painting of a cow on a lounge chair located in the bathroom stall, not sure why I thought that was curious, it went along with the overall odd ambiance of the place…

There was a rather spectacular sunset at mouth of the Necanicum River in Seaside with nice reflections in the water. It was a peaceful, relaxing trip for all. Encountered the Gearhart Elk Herd a couple times (first time seeing them upclose and personal for a couple of the ladies). Learned from a fellow passer-by that they make the trek from Gearhart to Astoria regularly, the locals aren’t quite so fond of them ‘trekking’ through their properties however and it’s controversial. Ongoing articles in the news regarding what to do about the situation. https://www.seasidesignal.com/news/local-news/gearhart-turns-to-state-for-elk-solutions/article_83f0e140-5727-11e9-8731-5b8864a40b84.html

There was a gentleman making huge bubbles on the beach that were completely magical as the street lights reflections danced around on them…mesmerizing and awesome. Believe he has the best job in the world, giving folks joy and happiness. The look on everyone’s faces as they watched was inspiring. Unfortunately my pics aren’t good and I can’t (currently) post videos, so you’ll have to go see for yourself.

Before that though, I took a drive to Mt. Hood with my favorite guy where I finally got a picture of the old barn on Hwy 210 by Tile Flat Rd. Been meaning to get a pic before it gets torn down. Then was treated to a lovely sunset on the east side of the mountain. Unfortunately, the look-out I like to go to is closed due to funding…I don’t really get this as there’s not much to ‘maintain’ up there. (However, you can walk around the barricade.)

And before that, (yes I know not to start a sentence, let alone a paragraph, with ‘and’, but artistic license allows…) My guy and I took a quick trip to Astoria (Oregon), where we were treated to another excellent sunset and meal at the Rogue Brewery out on the pier. (Yes I am a sunset junkie.) Please excuse the window reflection, not really a UFO.

Well, that’s it for now…pics to follow (as soon as I figure out how.) Be kind people!!
