June Travels

Greetings, welcome to Summer…In June my love and I did a bit of traveling. (It’s about all we can do what with COVID still ever-so present.)

First we took a trip out to Ft. Stevens, OR and visited the Peter Iredale. It was Scotts first time and we got the whole thing to our selves…

Gramma update…

Then we headed out to Smith Rock, OR…on the way we stopped by this cool old bridge, Crooked River Canyon bridge built in 1926…it goes over (you guessed it) the Crooked River at a 300 ft drop!!!…I actually got a little frightened taking some pics…there were actually three bridges, the original one, the replaced car bridge and in the other direction was a railroad bridge…pretty neato stop.

And Smith Rock https://stateparks.oregon.gov/index.cfm?do=park.profile&parkId=36, well, just wow…not a clue what’s making me laugh in that last one??? (wonder why Scott has that s***-eating grin on his face…hmmm)

More Tye-dye…

Then a trip to Yachats, OR…

A few days later we checked out the Eco-Globe at Salem Oregons River Front City Park, it’s pretty cool, has a nice walking bridge over to an island, and the park is very walk friendly and pleasant…

Later that month we took a drive up to Mt. Adams in Washington State…we stopped by my dad’s old place in White Salmon and his house was still there, empty. So we got to look around and take pictures…

And Mt. Adams was spectacular…

Made a quick side trip to Mt. Adams Cemetery, they have a nice view…

And we saw some pinnacles on the way…

That’s it for now my friends…more travels to follow I’m sure…
